Bali will hand you a hundred surface connections in a week. WhatsApp groups, beach club intros, “let’s collab” DMs that go nowhere. None of that is a network. Here’s what actually built mine, three things, no fluff.
Authenticity
Lead with where you actually are, not the LinkedIn version.
The people worth knowing here can smell a pitch before you finish your sentence. The founders who built real rooms in Bali didn't show up with a polished story, they showed up honest about what they were building and why. That's the entry price, not confidence.
Intentionality
Your filter is your power.
You don't need to meet everyone at the beach club. You need three or four people who are building something real, who you'd actually introduce to someone else. Saying no to the wrong rooms is what makes you trusted enough to get invited into the right ones.
Value-first
Give the introduction before you ask for one.
The fastest way to become someone people want to know in Bali: connect two people who should know each other, with no ask attached. Do that consistently and you stop finding rooms, rooms start finding you.
This is how I went from knowing no one in Bali to running the rooms founders actually want to be in.
If you’re building here, or heading here soon, a Network Accelerator session is the fastest way to skip the surface-level phase and get straight into the right room.
